Well I am on the "other side" and I have to say that I am so relieved! Still just sipping very small amounts of fluid, mostly water and start sipping some EAS protein shakes this morning. I have had a few incidents of difficulty with my meds, even the liquid hydrocodone. I have found that slow and steady is the answer. I am prescribed Protonix every morning and it is coated and goes down ok, the Reglan however is a different story. I am breaking it into tiny pieces and taking with sips of water. I just can't cru**** is too bitter.
Soreness in the abdomen is decreasing exponentially each day and I have lost 9 pounds since the surgery day... that freaks me out just a little?! I know it will slow down as I am able to eat a little more. My surgeon was the most amazing man that I have ever met. If anyone is considering surgery in the southeast US, Dr Morris Wayne Westmoreland with Murfreesboro Surgical Specialist is tip notch. He prayed with me and my spouse numerous times and every staff member reported how skillful and knowledgeable he is.

Glad to hear you are doing well, I was "sleeved" on the 11th too. Each day does get exponentially better. The med's are tough to get down, but I just take it slow. I haven't lost any weight since surgury, But I'll give it time....I do have to say, I have not been hungry at all, so it makes everything I'm going through that much easier. Goog luck on your journey!
