US Weight Loss Surgery Grants for Patients

WLSFA Patient Grant Referral Program

Davis, CA - August 8, 2011 - Beginning August 15, 2011 through December 31,2011 the WLSFA will accept patient referrals from Qualified US Bariatric Surgeons. Referred patients who meet WLSFA guidelines may apply for a weight loss surgery grant. The WLSFA is the only nonprofit organization granting these types of surgeries to people in need. The Grant program is funded by the WLSFA through it's "Network of Care" contributors, Weight Loss Surgery Patients, Medical Professionals, Hospitals and Industry Partners.

Qualified US Bariatric Practices that are ASMBS Center of Excellence Certified or have ACS BSCN Accreditation are provided guidelines to help identify patients who qualify for grants.  Patients who are denied access to medical treatment of obesity because they are under Insured or uninsured. Patients who have made all efforts but are unable to gather the funds needed to self pay for surgery.

I have a sister in law that needs wls,she is  290 and is just sick most of the time, she has tryed to loose on her own but has not been able to,this sounds like a great opurtunity but its sad that it will help so few.She does not have money to pay cash, cant do a loan because her bills are  hard to pay now,and has medical insurance but it excludes wls.
