Tomorrow is my day

I will be getting sleeved at 10 in the mornin.  I am excited and I still have a lot to do prior to getting up at 6:30 in the morning.  All the other August 25th people, here we go!!!    I was asked a few times how I felt and I feel calm right now. NOW in the morning I will probably freak out but who knows.

Given that you are not anxious now, you may not be tomorrow. At that hour I was not!! I could not wait to meet the Anesthesiologist who would put me OUT!!!

I do not remember anything in the recovery room except that a older lady (nurse?) was sitting next to me (like a babysitter) and told me, You had your surgery and its over now. I looked at her bewildered thinking to self, Surgery? What surgery? What is she talking about.

Then when I got to my room, my sister was there and she told me I kept saying.. I had my surgery.. I had my surgery.. oh the fun of drugs (versed) !!!

You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.. utilize your faith. I pray for the surgeon and the surgery staff.

Thank you Jan!  LOL! @ you having your surgery..thats funny.  I believe my being so calm is due to me having so much faith.  Thank you for your prayers also. This time tomorrow I shall be sleeved. WOW!

I am getting sleeved tomorrow 9:45.  I will say a prayer for you & I'd appreciate one too  .

Yay it's exciting! 5 nights left for me. You'll do great.

good luck!!! i just got out of the hospital today. my surgery was on monday. ill pray for you that youll have a textbook surgery and a speedy recovery. ill be honest, i was in a LOT of pain the first 2 days. but its all worth it. you'll do just fine. :-)

How are you doing now?  I'm on the 4th day since my surgery & ready for my incisions & drain tube to go away!!!!  They are all that's really bothering me.

im doing great. my incision that my tummy was pulled out of is hurting a lot. but they took my drain tube out before i left the hospital. that felt so strange. prepare for it! i go for my followup apt tomorrow.
