Turbofire! The battle to excersize...ugh!

I only used the heated icon for "turbofire" not bc i'm mad! haha. Although I do get mad at myself for being so lazy about getting my butt to the gym.

I just purchased "turbofire", the workout DVD's and did one. It was so frikin hard for me. I couldn't even keep up at times and this was the regular one, not the "HITT" high intensity ones that you are supposed to do every other workout. I am glad I got through it, now I'm off to the beach to enjoy a walk with a girlfriend. Maybe that will help makeup for my lack of "oomph" doing the dvd.

Any other workout ideas that ya'll enjoy? I need something to keep me motivated!!

RELAX turbofire is not the beginner's exercise video, neither is insanity or P90X.  Can beginner's do them.  Yes, but you really have to have some self motivation and sticktoitivness that frankly most of us don't have!  I'd say, start with a Zumba DVD (fun and easy to modify).  Save the turbofire till you feel a bit more confident in yourself!

I enlisted my frineds to go to the gym with me and now we don't miss a day even if we want to because the other person says no we have to go when I don't feel like it and when they don't feel like it and I do I drive them to go because we don't wanna let the other one down.  Also I hired a trainer for a few sessions at the gym and that made me goes those few times and helped me learn exercises I could do without the trainer :) Good luck and just keep moving.

I use the Turbo Jam which is the same instructor I think?? Chalene Johnson? I am very much a beginner, but I can follow the first workout on there pretty good. And I still have a lot of weight to lose with a bad back and hip. There are several workouts on the dvd. They have a couple of people that are doing a lower impact/modified style that you can follow during the workout too.

I like the Lesley Sansone walk away the pounds dvds.  It sems lame but it works.  If you buy the 2 pack you get one dvd with the 1-mile and2-mile walk and one with a 3 mile walk. You can start with the one mile and work your way up to the 3 mile.  Easy to modify and by the time you get to the 3 mile with weights it's a really great wokout.  I get a lot of compliments on my arms.  I still have a long way to go but even my harshest critics (me and my mom) are noticing that I am losing "all over"  not just from the face down like I usually do.  The music isn't great and Lesley can be annoying so I just turn down the volume on the TV and turn up some music I really like, like prince or metallica or anything else, really, just to keep going.  I like to dance so I am thinking of trying the So You think You Can Dance workout DVDs.  Good reviews on Amazon.
