What gives with all the burping?

Let me start by saying I LOVE MY SLEEVE. However, I burp constantly. Not the litlle silent ones either. My kids are getting a real kick out of it because mom usually exercises more lady like qualities. I caught them having a contest tonight at the dinner table, and my husband even commented that I tend to be burping more. This is totally not an issue at home because well, it's home. The problem comes in when I'm at work.
I am constanly talking at both of my jobs. Lots of meetings which I have to provide input, as well as teaching nursing students. Not good.
I take a Protonix (PPI) faithfully everyday, so I know acid isn't the culprit. It's whenever I eat or drink here comes the burps.
My diet has advanced, but I've been burping constantly since day one. At first it didn't really bother me, just figured it came with the territory and would be temporary. NOT. Please somebody tell me this will end soon. Thanks in advance.

I don't know why it happens, but I think it's common. It does get better!

Thanks! I'm usually not one to complain, but this is testing my limits.

I mentioned this at my docs office.  They said they try to warn "sleeve" people about this before surgery.  They didn't warn me.  I burp all the time....even after drinking.
I like calling North Carolina home!!!  Go Tarheels!

I burp when i eat too much.  It's my full signal.  I started to watch it and try to eat slower and stop before i have to and the burping is gone.

Definitely not overeating. Tried that once with some egg salad, and... let's just say the egg salad won.

The problem is it's happening all the time. Even when I'm not eating. Even with water. Ugh!

My first full signal is a burp.  If  I go another bite ot two then it is more burping.  Seems to have increased lately.  Sorry for that news!

Well, I'm 14 mos. out, and I still burp.  Belch, really.  Not as much as early-out, but still happening, and it starts with the first bite. I tried smaller bites, I tried swallowing in bits rather than swallowing an entire chewed-up bite, nothing. My biggest fear was at restaurants, but the first time I went to a restaurant, the noise in the restaurant was so loud not even my dinner compansions could hear me burp, LOL, and it's been the same other places, mostly.

It's better now, but still happens.  I've gotten to where I know when they're coming, so at work and other public places I can usually keep my mouth closed to minimize the noise.  But sometimes one gets away from me, and I just excuse myself.  At home I just let em rip, LOL!
