Question about antibiotics pre op?

I think I have an ear infection... I am about 6 days pre-op.. Will being on amoxicillian cause me to have my surgery cancelled?

When you go for preop, they ask all info about medications currently being taken.  You should call your docs office to make sure.  You need to make sure this won't effect anesthesia and the antibiotics you will receive after surgery!  I pray you have much success!!! Congratulations on your upcoming surgery.  You can sit beside me on the losers bench!!!

You need to talk to your surgon but I was on antibiotics right up until surgery, no issues.

Just came from Kaiser.. I dont have an infection... My allergies are just messing with me.. Yay!!

I had a bad cough and was put on Amoxcil and its fine its just if your still taking it the day before surgery they will put you on a different drip :)
