One Year out!...plus a little ;-)
Well, it's been a little over a year and I have had my check up/blood work etc. All is well, I lost over 100% of my excess body weight (I'm 11 pounds under my goal weight) and a normal BMI)! I was kind of shocked that my blood work came out well because I've been really bad taking my vitamins the last couple of months....but feel great!
My Nut asked me if I was glad I had the surgery and I said "ABSOLUTELY!" just wish I had done it years ago when my skin may have bounced back sooner ;-)
I can eat much more than I used to but still have great restriction. I don't drink carbonated drinks or caffeine or eat bread, pasta, or rice (I have had a bite of pasta but not much). Other that that, I pretty much eat anything I want but in moderation and of course, lean protiens first (lots of greek yogurt). I feel great and look okay for an old broad!
I don't have any recent pictures so I'm including onr from our vacation about a month ago (where I actually went parasailing and snorkeling)!
Wishing you all the very best!
Cathy
Donna,
No acid reflux and yes, it has been really easy to maintain so far. According to my Nut, I may loose more since I still only get between 700-1000 calories a day and I need 1,300 or so to maintain.
I'm sure you'll be the same way. This surgery has been such a wonderful tool for me!
It's also easier to exercise or just take the stairs or do simple chores! ;-)
Take care and good luck to you!
