Hi Gang,

Just put up a new blog post... trying to get back into the swing of things (yes, still... again... whatever).  I know I need to keep coming back here to stay on track, I'm working on it.  2 posts in 2 months is better than I've been doing, so that's a plus!

Bottom line: I need to break out of the "it's the holidays, so I have an excuse" mindset.  Granted, I was still off program for a while there when the holidays had nothing to do with it... now I'm just using a cop out because it's there.

It's rediculous, the mind games we play with ourselves, isn't it?  So sick of shooting myself in the foot, but SO thankful I have my sleeve to keep me from gaining when I do wander off the reservation.  That alone makes it worth it... even if I'm not losing, at least I'm not gaining (and believe me, I would have put back a good chunk of what I've lost by now if I were left to my own pre-op devices!).

So anyway... just wanted to stop by and say "hi" and I hope everyone's doing well!  I'm going to set OH back as one of my homepage tabs so I can get back into the swing of stopping by regularly again... clearly, I need to!

So glad to see you. I am over 3 weeks post op now. Dr chebli has been great. His personality is a bit gruff, not usual forthis area but I have gotten used to it.

I have had a problem starting about a week ago with the internal stitchnear lower left incision. He actually put me on nsaids yesterday after I was there in agony. So I am hoping the major pain will go away soon.

Yeah, he's very "east coast" and a type A one at that, but I'm from Boston originally, so it didn't really phase me, but I can see how it might be a bit off putting to native west coasters ;).

The worst part of the post-op phase for me was the incisions, I think they stopped being an issue right around the 3-4 week mark, so hopefully you'll be out of the woods soon!
