I can't comment of if these are good or not but where did you find them?  If it appears that they are alright, I will be in line stocking up!  These would be a miracle to my life, LOL.

I found the jello and the pure protein in the cans at a pharmacy at a local hospital in maryland.  Sorry.  I found the bottles of pure protein at Walmart and the whey shot vial at the Vitamin Shop.  I got the cocoa from Big Lots and I figured it had too much sugar carbs and calories and not enough protein was just hoping one of the vets said I could save it for a snack later on down the line lol...

Depends on how you like the taste. I never liked any of the fruity ones but others love them.

The Copper Mountain cocoa has not a lot of protein for the calories/carbs. I know my Protidiet protien cocoa has the same calories and 15 grams of protein.

I've done the Pure Protein. I do powders now because you get more protein bang for your $$$ but early on especially during recovery I did the ready to use and they worked fine.

Try GNC's in the blue and white bottle - chocolate or strawberry. They have a good sale on them pretty often.

Thanks Mom 4 Jazz!  I haven't tasted anything but the greek yogart (I hate it) because everyone warns my taste will change.  I just bought a variety of things so that I can have something as soon as I get out of the hospital. I know jello works good for post-ops so if I can get 23 g of protein with that gelatin cup I could kill two birds with one stone. I see SF jello has little to no protein.  Also the Whey Shot vial is on 3.2 oz and packs 49 grams of protein, that seems great if I can't get in all of my liquids at least I can get protein.  I hope the taste are tolerable!!! As a matter of fact, I PRAY that I can tolerate them!

Actually for hot cocoa I use my regular protein powder (chocolate flavored) You just have to make sure that the water isn't too hot to avoid clumping.

Shanelle, you're like me... worrying and preparing for the next few week!  I agree that the hot chocolate is too many cals and carbs for the little protein you get.  I know some people really dislike greek yogurt, but yesterday I mixed strawberry protein powder in my yogurt and it was heavenly.  Today I'm making chocolate mousse with the last of my greek yogurt.  With surgery on monday, I won't be able to have yogurt for a few weeks.  I did pick up several blue/white shakes from GNC yesterday and more Isopure so I think I'm all set.  Good luck to you we'll meet soon on the loser's bench!

I just mix my unjury Chocolate Splendor protein powder into the yogurt.... It's easy for me because I love yogurt, but to me the protein powder makes it moussier (is that a word-lol) and creamier and it does two things for me.  It takes away the sourness of the yogurt and the yogurt makes the protein powder not so sweet.  Buy a small container (6-8 oz) and give it a try!

Thanks I am going to try that.  My main complaint was that sourry (another new word) taste it left in my mouth .  How much powder do you use in a 6 oz. cup of yogurt?
