Am I getting in too many calories with my protein drinks too fast

My NUT and surgeon both made a point to tell me that you can only absorb about 20-25 grams of protein per hour. I have been drinking half of a shake and waiting about an hour to drink the other half just to be sure I'm not counting protein that won't actually help me.

What I started to do since I can't tolerate drinking the protein shakes is mix it with yogurt.  I used to use plain greek (80-130 cal) to one to two scoops of berry protein powder.  I used GNC Lean (only 10grams of protein but better tasting, 50 cal).  I have also used Body Fortress strawberry (52 grams of protein and like 150 cal per two scoops (I only use 1 scoop).  If you have a Krogers near you they sell a yogurt called Carb master.  It is made by Krogers.  It only has 50 cal, and 1 gram of carbs and no sugar.  It only contains 6-9 grams of protein.  Mix it up real good and let it sit for 4-5 mins and mix again.  It gets really thick like mousse.  I eat one of these every morning for breakfast.  It is way under 200 calories, feels me up and gives me close to half of my daily protein.  The rest I get with lunch and dinner and cheese sticks for snack.  I really don't count my carb count.  The way I think is I am only eatting a few ounces and if it has some carbs in it o well.  I am almost 6 months out and I have lost 57 lbs and only have 43 left to goal.  I understand that I may not be loosing it as fast as others but, that is okay to me.  We all know the faster you lose the more skin issues you will have.

There is also a protein pudding that you can get from GNC or Vitamin Shop called MHP. It's pretty good, the have a few different flavors I like the chocolate, it's 30 grams per 3 oz serving and about 160 calories.
