I was just wondering if there is a website that you recommend that tells you how much protein and calories you have consumed day to day?

Even though I am happy to be in this next phase, I liked the fact that when I was drinking my protein shakes that I knew exactly how much I was taking in. I just want to make sure that I reach 70 grams of protein per day.

I use sparkpeople.  I tried my fitness pal and it wasn't for me.  There are a fair few out there so look around and see which you like best.  Both have apps for your phone so it's easy to track on the go.

myfitnesspal rocks! If you have a smart phone they have this really hand bar code scanner and all you do is scan the bar code of the food and enter how much of that food that you ate. It automatically calculates all the nutrition info. Add me as a friend if you decide to join!

There is only one success--to be able to spend your life in your own way.

I am so old school, I gave up internet at home (so I could afford counseling... been a blessing and glad I did it) and I do not have internet on my phone either, so I write it down.

I carry an index note card book... with a mini little pencil pushed into the binding.  Goes everywhere with me.  I started doing this pre-op.  I love it.  I do use internet at work to look up calories on certain foods and protein.  But mostly I just use the food packaging to know what I am taking in.  Plus I measure everything.  I might be a bit obsessive.  But I have been told by my nutritionist that she has yet to see someone gain their weight back or have too many stalls if they keep a food journal and measure and do accurate calorie and protein counting.  I love math, so it works well for me.

Trying to apply all the good habits now so they become second nature.

“Not many of us are living at our best.  We linger in the lowlands because we are afraid to climb the mountains.  The steepness and ruggedness dismay us, and so we stay in the misty valleys and do not learn the mystery of the hills.  We do not know what we lose in our self indulgence.  What glory awaits us if only we had the courage for the mountain climb.  What blessing we should find if only we would move to the uplands of God.?  JRM

My fitness pal on my phone...there are very few foods that are not in the database, and I have used it to make good choices at restaurants
