I Got Approved
My paperwork was submitted on Monday. I called the insurance company today and I GOT APPROVED!
I've seen people post about being approved and I wondered how I would react! Jump up and down. Cry! Scream! Holler! I actually whipered at my desk....I was approved. The girl at the front desk heard me. LOL I told two other ladies in the office and my boyfriend who said, "Approved for what?" Ugh! Anyway I'm excited and anxious at the same time. I want to make sure I have everything I need so I don't screw up!

Congratulations to you and me! Your post got me motivated (I had just been waiting
for my drs office to call), and I called the insurance company directly. They said approved
on the 10th! It was submitted about a week before that (Anthem of California). Now I
guess I will wait until the drs office calls me to schedule. They probably won't get
the approval in the mail until Monday. who knows..... maybe I will call them this afternoon :)

ok... I gave in and called the surgeon's office around 4:30 today (hoping to maybe get a date estimate because I have no idea how the schedule looks - do I get a date in 2 weeks or 2 months?). Instead I got a voicemail saying she wasn't even in today. wah waaah waaaah.
I'll just wait now for my call from her - probably Tuesday after she settles back in and gets
to the paperwork. I did get a call from the insurance company from a 'nurse case manager'
who was assigned to me. She went over a lot of recommendations, but nothing that I haven't already learned from here, my group sessions, surgeon orientation, etc. I also watched the video from Shawnee Mission that was posted here earlier today. very interesting...
