GETTING BACK ON TRACK

I don't know if any remember my post about my 14 yr. old nephew's passing from a drunk driver on May 3rd?
Anyways, since then I've lost almost 10 pounds, gained 2 and lost another 1.

I can't get back on track.
I want to drown my sorrows in chocolate and coffee.

Any advice?

I remember that post, do you have a therapist or someone like that to talk to? I'm glad you are looking for help. Maybe a preacher or priest? You dont seem to be off track if you haven't actually done this stuff. I'm sorry for your loss, but try not to lose yourself in the process of grief

Find someone to talk too, it's not healthy to keep the grief inside. I'm very sorry for your loss.

Wow.
So sorry for your loss.  Please acknowledge that it's normal to be "off" your daily routines and such because of this tragedy.
Be good to you but also recognize that excessive eating off plan isn't going to help anyone...especially you.

Time will heal. ((hugs))

I am SO sorry!! I can't imagine how you must be feeling! But I know that you want to be around for everyone else in your life, including yourself or you wouldn't have had this surgery!! You need to remind yourself why you did this and try to take it one step at a time!!

I think just getting on here and asking for help is a GREAT start!! Just keep using the tools you have been given! Resources like this are a great way to get out the bad and flood yourself with the good!!

Take care, I will be praying for you!! Hang in there and see if there is someone you can talk to!!

Yes, I remember, and I'm so sorry.

Routine helps me a lot. It's a big reason why I went back to work after a week postop.

Right now you don't want to take care of yourself, which is why it's more important now than ever. Small steps, one foot in front of the other. The want to will come along.
