4 years out and starting to gain???
VSG on 08/14/12
What about going back to basics? I just got sleeved a few days ago, but I read a lot from the vets and they always say go back to basics...
I'm by no means even far enough out to have had to worry over this, but I can understand how distressing it is.. (done it before surgery plenty of times!)
First thing I'd do- start measuring & logging everything, without trying to change/reduce your intake (you will unconsciously anyway, it happens when you start logging stuff- human behaviour.)
See where you are actually really at, then make adjustments that are not extreme (like not dropping ALL the way back into the 800 cal/day etc thing) but make an adjustment as needed, several hundred cals down, adjust carbs if needed, up protein too if needed.. and just get back into measuring and logging for a bit.. I'd guess you probably haven't been, and slowly- very slowly some extra has made it into your regular intake or you shifted up in one area and down in another (carbs up/protein down) and it popped you over your line. You caught it early, and if it came on slowly over 6mo.. that would point to just a small increase that happened somewhere, adding up over time.. It can go the other way, just need to literally figure it out by the numbers a bit- good luck!
