Had surgery Tuesday 8/21. I've never been through childbirth, so I can't say it was the worst pain anyone could ever experience, but my pain was pretty intense. Lots of nausea as well. Fortunately I got those under control before I left the hospital yesterday.

It is so hard to take anything in. I sip water through the day, but can't really manage much else. I had an Isopure fruit drink today and fortunately kept that down.

Overall I just feel worn out. I have absolutely no hunger, head or otherwise. I've been in bed most of the day...hoping this changes soon so that I have energy to get outside a bit.

Please tell me this gets better...

It gets MUCH better, and very soon. Get yourself out of bed tomorrow, shower, put on something comfy, then do pretty much anything OTHER than crawl back into bed. Even sitting on the back deck sipping tea is better than bed. The more you move (gently) the better you're going to feel and the better you're going to sleep at night.

Your body doesn't need many calories right now, but it does need protein, so start sipping that as well as water. Don't depend on hunger - sip hat protein through the day - think of it as medicine if ou need to.

Welcome to the other side.

OMG it gets *so much* better!!  You are going to be amazed!!  Just imagine - in six weeks you'll feel almost back to normal (maybe a little more tired) and by the end of the year you're going to feel better than you've felt in forever and you're going to have more energy than you'll know what to do with.  You'll look great and feel better!!

Hugs to you!!

Nausea is SO exhausting! But definitely get up and get around. It really DOES work wonders! I hope you are feeling better soon!

I had surgery 8/21 too! Try to walk, you don't want to get pneumonia. Every day gets a lil better!!
