Question for post op vets ????

Hi. I had GERD, mild IBS, regular bouts of diarrhea, and a sensitive tummy. I take omperazole (generic rx for prilosec) daily and no longer eat eggs or drink milk. Since surgery, my tummy is alot better. It does let me know if I ate too much too quickly, or if it doesn't like something. But for the most part, I am MUCH better.
I was diagnosed w Gerd, gastritis and h-pylori. Took meds and got rid of the h-pylori. Take meds for Gerd. I try to avoid pain meds. I had issues with pain and taking Tylenol pre VSG. I probably would've ended up w a ulcer if I had not gotten the VSG.

I had pretty severe GERD for several years preop. I would often wake up in the middle of the night choking on the acid. It was horrible. I was put on Prilosec daily which alleviated all symptoms. Postop I continue with Prilosec 40 mg every day and have not had one issue.
Good luck!
