Any recommendations on creams to help surgery scars go away?

I had 7 incisions, plus 3 more from a previous gallbladder removal.  I did absolutely nothing and one year later, I can barely see them

Im african american so because of the melon in my skin the scars tend to heal darker then my normal color.  But I have always used the cocoa butter (stick form) to even the discoloration.

I'm working w palmers fade cream. My skin is dark also and at 15mos po I still have visible black scars. It'll take a good 5yrs for them to lighten.

My dermatologist recommended pure vitamin E oil for scars...he removed some mostquito bites that evolved into scar tissue a few months ago and it has helped a bunch! I actually use sweet almond oil infused with vitamin E for my scars and it seems to help.
