I'm almost four months out and the hair loss has begun.  For the past two weeks I've noticed more hair falling out but today I noticed a lot more!  Ugh!  I know this is normal and I can't really do anything about it.  I just hope it isn't too noticeable!

I have noticed that my scalp has been itchy lately?  Any thoughuts on whether or not it's related to the hair loss?

I think I read on here that biotin helps and I also read just this morning that Bariatric Advantage has a product that supposedly helps it grow back.

The hair loss is normal. I have a bazilion little hairs growing back in. Having fun pasting down all the little 2 and 3 inch hairs so that they don't stick straight up.

Ths itchy scalp is another issue, imo. Worthy of a call into your doc, imo.

I have severe allergies, had them for years. This sounds more allergy-related to me, but I'm not a doctor. Talk to a professionsal about it.

I know it Lucy. My haridresser gave me an awesome trick for keeping them under control.

Chap stick. Put a little on your fingers and they lay down and stay down.

thank you awesome hairdresser!

Do you have dry skin anywhere else on your body?  I would say that itchy scalp could be allergy related, but if you are suffering from dry skin n other places, odds are that is causing the problem.  Head and shoulders 2 in 1 with conditioner works wonders.  I have to use it every year around this time and through the winter (dry season) or else my scalp itches so bad I feel like I have lice!  Turning on the heat in our one makes it worse, and despite drinking loads of water I still have to use the special shampoo and moisturizing lotions every single day.

I am now 7.5 months post op and every day, just as I am optimistic that the hair loss have stopped,it comes out in strings when I wa****Now I am starting to be a little scared about when will this stop?

We actually have more hair than we realize as I have lost since month 4 steadily all the time.Everything is full of hair.

I wish I had those gazillion little stand up hair,I would feel so much better when I can actually see some regrowth.

Just dont freak out with every strand that comes out, that is a lot of freaking out I have done over the past 3 months and I know it will be ok and grow back. But I still have a silent freak out all the time about it (silent as my family is sick of checking to see if my scalp shows...lol)

Good luck and it will pass...I hear....lol
