A Hurricane? On My Surgery Day?

Yep, that's what the weather folks are calling for.  I wonder what the hospitals do under those cir****tances?

I am hoping it gets downgraded before it gets here (New York).

My surgery was already rescheduled from the 17th to the 30th.  PLEASE let it happen this time.

(Just needed to vent my worries. Thanks for "listening".)

There was an earthquake in Montreal on my surgery day, about an hour or so after I woke up. It felt like a subway going by underneath. It was only 3.9 or 4 on the Richter scale. That is kind of symbolic for our new lives...it is a pretty earth shaking, hurricane like new beginning!!!

My surgery is on the 28th,  but my flight connects in Newark so hoping that on Sunday things are still clear there too! 

I had one of my babies via csection during a tornado warning (IN NEW JERSEY!).  You can send the hurricane down my way, or just enjoy a cool storm from the comfort (ha) of your hospital bed :D

Yea, I'm hoping I can at least GET to the hospital. My husband said he'll get me there no matter what! He's the BEST!

That's a GREAT way to look at it - a new beginning. The hurricane to blow out all my old lifestyles that brought me to this place in my life.

Spoke to the doctor's office. Sounds like if we get this storm, they'll be cancelling my surgery.

But they are sure the surgeon will accommodate me.  Not sure exactly what that means, but I'm hoping it means he will fit me in that week. All my papers are in for my Leave of Absence from work.

I am NOT giving up yet. Just needed to express my worries; I am SO ready for this.
