I had my VSG june of 2010  lost 120 pounds then got pregnant. Well the baby is 9 1/2 months old now and i lost another 30 pounds while i was pregnant and right after i had her. I didnt get back on the protien first rule because of nursing. Witch i still am but I also gained 10 pounds and want to get back on track before it gets out of control. So im looking for ideas that i can do around the house. Im a stay at home mom and cant really get out long enough to work out at a gym. The weather is decent right now but living in WA it rains alot and is sapose to get down into the 30s this week.

Thanks in advance

Get back to the protein first and focus on healthy carbs.

As for exercise, what about some kind of work out videos? There are tons of options depending on what you  like - walking, aerobics, dance, boxing, yoga, biggest loser type work outs, etc.

Congrats on the baby!

Breast milk is made of protein, according to my mother who was a LLL leader, so protien first is good for nursing moms, as well as hydration!

I second the videos/video games, etc.  You can also use your baby as a weight, which can be kind of fun (depending on how much she weighs) and just dance around with her (NOT after a feeding) to get some aerobic exercise in.

I am pre-op, but have had to adjust my definition of exercise already.  It probably won't be going to a gym with my schedule and kids.  I don't have the time to waste driving to/from, etc.  It will have to be walking in good weather, doing videos or playing games like Just Dance in bad weather.  That way I can do it from home, at any time, and don't lose an hour getting to the gym and back.

Best of luck to you.  Having a baby is hard work!  Your continued loss is impressive!

Maybe get a pedometer and just try to increase your steps by a certain number each day....................

Congratulations on the weightloss and the new little addition! I love Walk Away The Pounds with Leslie Sansone. I can't wait till I am able lose that much. I just now was able to have a consultation scheduled with my surgeon Jan 5 and it seems like forever away but with holidays and schedules it was the earliest I could get in. Keep up the great work!!
