NSV: Shopped in Regular Sizes Today, First Time in 30 years

Old Size: 26/28 (as of August 1st, 2012)

Current Size: 18 jeans, XL top!

I am truly amazed by the sleeve. I started my pre-op diet on 8/6/12 and had surgery on 8/21. In four months I've lost 70 pounds and am just about out of plus sizes. It is incredible.

I walked through the plus section at KMart tonight (shopping there because I need cheap clothes I will get too small for) and everything looked so huge. I happened on the Misses section and their XL actually looked reasonable to me, so I bought a top. I just tried it on and holy moly it fits! I bought a pair of 18 jeans and they fit perfectly, not tight at all...

What a wonderful feeling. What a blessing.

Happy Holidays to my OH family.

For me, getting out of plus sizes was a major NSV for me. Sounds like it is for you too. Too awesome, congrats!!

I just did the same thing! Only for me it was Goodwill since pants were 7.99 and shirts 4.99 - it's an amazing feeling to look at something you couldn't have fit into 4 months ago and know it will fit!

I laugh now when something won't quite button because I know in a few weeks IT WILL! LOL

I am wearing size 18 right now because 16's don't quite button but I know they will in a few weeks. But the 18's are kind of sliding down. I would save your receipts - if you gently wear your clothes I bet you can take them back and exchange them! I did that with a pair of shoes that just kept falling off my feet since I grabbed the size I used to be! Was able to exchange them for shoes that fit.

Its surreal, isn't it?

What a great experience huh? I can't wait for the day that I can do that and I will make a big deal out of it, lol.

Hugs,

Rita
