1 year surgiversary I ran a half marathon

Well, today was my 1 year surgiversary. I celebrated by running the Pomona Holiday 1/2 Marathon, and I finished with a time of 1:52:15 which is a personal record. I posted pics on my profile page since I can't figure out how to post them on the forum. Now, when I registered for this race with my running partner, I didn't even realize that the race would occur on my surgiversary. Linda (DW) pointed this out a couple of weeks ago. Let me tell you, we were both quite emotional when I finished. She gave me a hug that told me how much she loves me, and that she is proud of me. What a difference a year makes. Last year I couldn't even run a mile, and today (for the second "official" time), I ran 13.1 miles. What a way to celebrate.
