Milestone, goal and NSV! Can't wait to see what Santa brings...

I let the weekend slip by without getting on the scale, but I didn't miss any exercise or eat off plan. On Friday when I weighed in, I was 230.0 and 70 lbs off of my surgery weight of 300. My surgeon's goal for me was 72.8 lbs lost or 227.2 (65% of 112 lbs EBW).

Well, today, I got on the scale, and lo and behold... 227.2lbs! Of course, this is also the first time I have weighed under 230lbs since 1992... so my 70lbs Milestone passed and Surgeon's Goal acheived!

My NSV was of the pants-size variety. I started this adventure with a size 46 waist and as of Friday, I'm in 36" Levis. I can buy my jeans in the mall, boys and girls. I do not have to go to Big and Tall Casual Male! Watch out Gap - you're next! So, I'm tucking my regular, old-fashioned, XL shirt into my regular, old-fashioned 36" waist Levis. I feel like when I was in High School. I still have the better part of 40lbs to hit my goal weight of 188 and 112lbs lost, but still, this rocks. The best is that it just feels permanent instead of terrific for now followed by months or years of regain, slippage and the ensuing depression. I can keep doing this!
