Decision made!

Hello everyone,

 

I had my consultation with the surgeon last week and he agreed that the VSG seems like the best surgery option for me.  I'm very excited since I was leaning towards the VSG myself.  I began the insurance required doctor supervised diet almost two weeks ago and I've lost 12 lbs. I'm off to a great start and I'm very excited to be on this journey! I'm hoping to have my surgery late March or early April.  Does anyone know how long I will have to wait to fly post surgery? I have a friend who is graduating from nursing school in early May and I'd love to be able to go to her graduation. Thanks guys. I love reading all of your posts. Your success stories are so inspirational!

Tose of us who leave their home countries for surgery tend to fly home within a week or so.  I came home on day 4 with no difficulty.

Congrats! Praying things go smoothly and time flys by.

I asked my doctor about travel, and he recommends not traveling for one month after surgery.

I flew home a week post op. business class made it ok but it was not the most comfy journey...
