Protein questions
Yes, big time. It is a critical success factor in weight loss. You need to get your protein in. Your body will get it from somewhere if not from a food source, your muscles (including your heart). Your nails will become brittle, your skin will be dry and scaly, and your hair will begin to fall out. Lots of bad things. Bottom line get your protein in.
My first real question is why are you having a hard time with it? It is not that difficult to do after about 3 weeks post op. Its a challenge up to that point but once you get there should not be too difficult. I try to get at least 30 grams in for breakfast. That gets me a good portion of the way there to my goal of 100 grams every day. You should be shooting for 60 to 80 each day.
But 30 grams of protein within 30 minutes of waking up is my rule. I got 52 this morning in one protein shake.
You can die from it.
