Onederland Reached!
The scale said 199.7 today!
What a journey this is becoming so far. 90 pounds lost, yay!
Head hunger is no joke. I deal with it most days of the week. What helps is drinking water and tea, and tracking everything on MFP. I can look at the number of carbs I've consumed, the amount of protein, and the calories-- this keeps me in line for the most part.
I am extremely pleased by the many NSV's I've experienced since surgery: no seatbelt extender on airplanes, wearing size 16 jeans for the first time in 30 years, all the compliments and good wishes from friends, family and co-workers. My one regret is that I didn't do WLS in my 30s.
Thanks to all on this board (vets, newbs, everyone) who have contributed to my success so far-- often it has been you that has kept my head in the game when I was ready to stray. Special thanks to Kairk for his wisdom and encouragement, and to Elina for her sensitivity and know-how when it comes to the sleeve journey.
All who are considering the surgery-- the benefits are tremendous, and while there are some drawbacks ****asional nausea, long recovery period, closet full of clothes that don't fit), these are more than outweighed by the benefits of feeling, looking and BEING healthier.
