New Wardrobe - How'd you do it?
I've finally stopped losing weight and I've maintained 131-134 for the last month. I'm thrilled here. I'm a solid size 6 and even size 4 in some brands. So now it's time to start buying clothes. I've been hitting up clearance and resale shops up until now. But I'd really like to start my wardrobe going well.
So what are some staples I need? I keep buying dresses, but honestly I spend 75% of my time at the horse barn, in breeches and polo tops, another 10% in running clothes so my time for dress wearing is not a lot! I'm having difficulty finding jeans that fit my bum that don't cost $$$. I tried on a pair of True Religion (see pic below) today and they fit great, but I can't afford $180 (and that's $100 off retail) for a pair of jeans. So if you have a super limited budget, where do you go and what do you buy?
And yes because I'm still in shock about my weight I'm including a pic of me trying on jeans today:

I shop a lot at Marshall's and Ross. And Macy's on their sale racks. No two ways about it, though, you'll be spending some dough to replace your wardrobe, from the skin out! My problem, since losing weight, has been knowing when to stop. Kinda like I used to be with ice cream, I guess you could call it a transfer addiction, LOL!
P.S. You look GREAT!
I shop at second-hand stores.....a lot of times I find brand new items for only a few bucks. I remember when I desperately needed a pair of black slacks that fit. I went to the second-hand store and walked about with a nice pair of slacks that were under $2.

INOVA has a good one in Springfield - it is small, but you can get really lucky if you are there on the right day. There is also a nice Goodwill on Main Street in Fairfax and also Second Hand Rose, a little further down on Main Street. You can do both in one day. There are tons more, but those are the once I frequent the most. Happy shopping!

Find a consignment shop that carries higher end labels if you like nicer quality clothing that will last and stand the test of time in terms of fashion. If you don't care about that. find any consignment shops and you should find good deals. Some of the clothing there still has tags on it and has just been sitting in someones closet.
My son turned me onto Forever 21, a store I never set foot in before surgery. The clothes are not the best quality but since they are so inexpensive, it's ok. I bought sweaters a couple of months ago for around $20 and I just got some cute tops (t-shirt material for spring) and they were like $12 each. This is full price so you know the clearance racks will be cheaper. I haven't tried their jeans yet but I plan on it!
