I am a old timer around here now never though it would happen.
Hello all. Just checking this board. I am a old timer now I guess lol sounds so funny. When I started on this board 3 years ago I was just like you all. Scared worried about not loosing and gaining when farther out. I have had all kinds of surgery now. First my VSG than my gallbladder went after seven months. I had my tummy tuck than just this last October had a scar revise because my nerve was bad after tummy tuck. I love my VSG I do have to weigh my self each day just so I keep my self on track. I talked to my surgeon Dr. Hendrick and he told me to just maintain my weight loss. I have to exercise at least 3 or 4 times a week for 30 minutes or I start to gain. I am always on a diet I guess watching what I eat when I eat. I do not get very hungry if I eat 3 times a day the most I am able to eat is 3 oz to 4 oz of meat with 1 oz cheese and 1/2 cup veggies. I am not perfect I do eat the bad snacks started to gain weight over Christmas but called Dr. Hendrick office and thank god Rachel Roberts the nut is great and helped me to get on track again. I still see my self at 300 lbs most days but some times I do see I am thinner. I still go to support group meeting at my surgeons office. It really helps me out to talk to others that have had weight loss surgery. I come and read the board ever day but do not say much. i can say you all have made the right choice to do something about weight loss. Best decision I ever made. It sure works. If you want this bad enough and your willing to do what it takes than it works. Do not get me wrong I do have my days I do not eat right. But I say if I eat it I know I have to burn it off. I say if I was able to do this anyone can. My self control was bad but when you see the weight come off and you know if you eat so little that it is better to pick the right foods. I am not so hungry that I just go and pick thinks like I did when I had a full stomach. I hope you get approval soon Married2005.
