Hives.....

Been getting hives since yesterday...my skin is crazy itchy...it's driving me insane...I'm 27 days post-op...anyone else experience this?

Is it the pills?

I had a delayed post-op allergic reaction to the blood thinner..... didnt use after discharge but I broke out at all the injection sites 2-3 weeks after I went home.....

perhaps you are having something similar.... ask your Dr is it OK to take an antihistimine

Hives are one of those thing that can have myriad causes -- a virus, an allergic reaction, etc.  I just got over a case of hives -- who knows?  I also had an ear infection -- so maybe it was viral, and maybe it was an allergic reaction to several days of shrimp.

Take benadryl and go to the doctor.  They will give you a shot and sterioids.  That should do the trick!

Get lots of anti-itch cream too!
