16 Weeks Out and Halfway to Goal!

Monday night was exactly 16 weeks after my surgery, and I finally made it to halfway to my goal. I've been looking forward to this so much!

Thanks to the OH community. I've learned so much from you all, and it's been a lifesaver.

For those considering VSG or those newly post-op, I want to express that for me, this journey has been worth the trouble. For me, the trouble included major depression (verging on panic attacks) that occurred from weeks 3 to 6, episodes of weakness and shaking until week 6, and lots of head hunger. My stress was compounded by the facts that I got sleeved during the holiday period and shortly after I got laid off from my previous job. So, December was a bleak time of no coworkers, no food treats, and not feeling well enough to go to holiday events. But starting in week 6, I started feeling better and have good ever since.

To the vets, I know that the hard part really begins now and that weight loss will be tougher as I get closer to goal. If you have any tips or words of encouragement to help me keep going, I'd love to hear them.

Cheers to you all as you continue your journeys too.
