You've gotta be kidding me..
So I have about $1400 of my out of pocket that still needs to be met for the year. I'm hoping to have my surgery in the next few months (June maybe).. so that's not a whole lot of time to come up with that amount of money. I have terrible credit, and the surgeon requires full payment (out of pocket) up front - which is fine. But I called them today to see if they accept any form of financing (payment plans or like Care Credit) and the lady didn't know but she didn't think so. So now what?? How the eff am I supposed to come up with that money when I can't get approved for didly **** Grrr.. I'm just so angry at this point because I've come too far to not be able to do this surgery. GAHHHH!!!
Any suggestions anyone??

I know exactly what you are facing - so did I...I went to my credit union and took the title to my old car and all but BEGGED for a loan on it. And shocker - they did! Of course now I have to pay each month but I got the loan and had my surgery! The loan wasn't enough, but it was enough to have the surgery! Now I am paying the payment on my "car loan" and paying a payment to the doc's office!!! But I had my surgery!!!! It won't take long to get it paid off, but it sure does hurt worse than the surgery did!!!! But it was the only way I could get it worked out.
So where there's a will there's a way! Sometimes you can talk to your bank or credit union and they will give you ideas. That's how I found out about using my car. I would never have thought of it on my own.
Good Luck!!! Ann
your doctor doesn't take your insurance? or did your insurance deny you? and the staff at the doctor's office doesn't know what forms of payment they accept? If I were you, I would do more research--find a doctor that DOES take your insurance and/or that will take care credit or some other form of financing.
or maybe you could wait a few more months until you can come up with the out of pocket money for insurance? I know it sucks waiting, but you need medical care before and afterwards...
Dare I say - get a part time job?? that's what I used to do when I needed extra money...even min wage, if you put it all away, within a few months you'll have the money.
BINGO!! Im working OT and shopping with coupons, at thrift stores, etc to put in my tummy tuck next egg.... I was quite pleasantly surprised at how fast the money is adding up
