Surgery

Surgery Friday morning went well, I did not need to use the pain pump as the Tylenol they put in my IV was more than sufficient to control any pain I had. I came home yesterday, have slept quite a bit. Walking some ti get rid of the gas. By far the the gas has been the biggest discomfort I've had. So far, so good.

Walk as much as you can, that is really the only way to get rid of the gas and you are right the pain from that was far worse than anything surgery related. Make sure to get your water in too. Staying hydrated accelerates the healing process.

Getting tha****er in is tough for sure! But, I'm working on it. How long did it take to get the gas out for you?

I walked a lot in the hospital but by my 2nd day post op I was pretty well done with gas pain. Walking is the key. Wal****il you can't walk any more and then walk a little more.

For water, just make you always have it at your finger tips or better yet in your hands and sip. Actually for me I would take a big mouthful and just keep swallowing a little bit at a time until you swallow it all. It made it easier for me somehow.

Jeff, glad it went well. Sip like it's your new full time job and get up and keep walking as much as you can. If you can get in the water and stay mobile, you have the hard stuff down for now.
