Surgery tomorrow!

24 hours from now, I'll be wheeled into surgery. Having struggled with my weight since age 11, and gaining most of it by age 15 (I'm now 34), I'm finding this a little hard to believe. So very excited (thank you to all who inspire me on OH), but now my nerves have kicked in. Trying not to fear the unknown. ;)

Remember to walk as soon as possible and as much as possible. Sip your water. And push that button, the pain meds actually help you heal because you will be under less stress.

Good luck.

I agree with Deckeriv. Walk, walk, walk and don't be afraid to take the pain meds. Also, don't be afraid to call the nurse when you need anything.

I have a feeling I'll have to push myself (I know the nurses will be, too) to walk, but I will because of all you on OH. I know I won't have to be nudged to push the med button. ;)

Thank you, Christine - looks like you're doing great!
