It's Over! I'm Thrilled! I'm on the other side!
My surgery was two days ago and I got home yesterday evening. I must be soooo lucky. The surgery went really well and I was so pleasantly surprised on how I felt afterwards. I would describe my condition as uncomfortable but not painful. I was expecting so much more! I was up walking two hours later and had slight gas but nothing like some people would describe with their shoulder gas pain. My biggest issue is getting in my liquids. I have been sipping on water all day long and probably have gotten in only 16 oz. I can't believe how well I can move around and get up and down. I just had someone drive me to the grocery and got a little walking in there while we picked up a few items. Now for a little nap! I took my prescribed pain medicine through the night and then switched to Tylenol today and so far so good. I hope everyone's surgery and first couple of days goes as well as mine! Thanks for all the prayers.....they must have worked!
Congrats!!! I'm glad to hear it went so smoothly (mine did too)....yeah, just sip sip sip. good to hear you're walking too! Now the fun begins!
Best of luck!

wonderful update...my surgery was May 6, and your post sounded just like what I would have posted...it's tough getting in all the fluids and protein, too...how have you been doing with protein? my dietitian wants me to get in at least 70g each day...that is hard for me
