Now, now...the last two miles of the run are downhill. Mostly. mail

I didn't know you were going to be there. I did the swim on a relay team. Some damn kayaker RAN ME OVER. Um, aren't they there to save us from drowning, not to drown us? (I assume the wind blew her off course.)

I've done the Olympic once and the Long twice and then the Long as an informal AquaBike due to injury. I have to say that was the gnarly-ist swim I've ever had in a race. Choppy. People were actually getting sea sick while swimming!

But, hey, we survived, right?

Bummer we didn't get a chance to meet each other. What an awesome experience. I am the guy on page 42 (I think) of the athlete guide. Are you doing Morgan Hill on the 18th or Big Kahuna?

I don't remember much being downhill before lynch hill... And that down hill is so steep I had to be careful not to blow out a knee!

I knew you were training for a tri, I just didn't realize you lived around here!

The whole run course is rolling hills but you are basically going uphill for the first 4 miles of the run and downhill for the last 2. But of course, because it rolls, that "downhill" has some ups in it! LOL

I'm off to Sunnyvale soon for Trifest. My club has a booth. Silicon Valley Tri Club. Come check us out.
