And this woman did the taste testing for us too!!  I have two flavors of PB2 and now looking to buy the less expensive and easily accessible, tastier Trader Joe's Peanut Flour.  Here's the article:

Trader Joe's no longer sells peanut flour however their product came from Protein Plus Peanut Flour and this can be purchased a lot cheaper than PB2 at iherb.com as well as other online stores.

PB2 at Walmart is about $5 for a 6 oz. jar which is about $13 per pound.

Protein Plus Peanut Flour from iHerb.com is only about $11 per 2 pounds or $6.50 per pound.

Of course this doesn't figure in taxes on either of those or shipping from iHerb.  But even with taxes and shipping the Protein Plus Peanut Flour is less expensive and I have tried it as did the reviewer ... it is very good.

If you Google iherb.com coupons you will get a coupon for $5 off a certain amount as well as $10 of a higher amount.  I think I used it and the $11 became only $6 for the 2 pound bag.  I only wish I had the foresight to have purchased 2 or 3 bags and gotten the $10 off.  It really is that good.  Yum.

Sadly I live in South Florida and we don't have a Trader Joes yet. They are building one in Miami but its a ways from being done and its a bit if a hike.

i eat regular peanut butter here and there, is that so bad ?  I'll shmear a bit on a saltine cracker to add some crunch when I have a protein shake for lunch.   and i lick the knife after making my kids PB*J sandwiches.  I dont eat it by the ounce.

is it really that big of a whoop?

It depends on whether you eat modest amount (sounds like you do) or got through a kilo jar of it a week like my hubby used to. (He was sleeved Tuesday)

Measure it, record it, move on.

PS. The joy of PB2 or peanut flour is being able to add it to a protein shake, creating the flavour equivalent of melted peanut butter cup ice cream.

Super well, thanks, Nancy.

He's been a real champ about walking since a couple of hours after surgery. He fussed about drinking after he did the blue dye thing, but now he's getting lots in so I'm feeling confident about our trip home Sunday. We're going to relax in San Diego for 1.5 days before flying home.

He's hoping to go back to work Monday, but is lucky in having an understanding boss who will be just fine with him working from home for a few days if he needs to. (It's a desk job and he loves it, so will be back at his desk as soon as possible)
