Is there a difference between the magic and the nutri bullet?  Are they worth it or would a regular food processor be able to produce good protein shakes? Thanks!

LOL, I have a magic bullet, but I swear every time I see the word, I never think of the blender first...lolol

Anywho, my magic bullet is ok. I need something a little stronger because I use frozen fruit and ice in mine and end up using too much milk to make it move. So I would try something a bit more powerful if you plan on using it frequently and using frozen items. That's the only way I can drink these shakes. Frozen.

lol @ magic bullet!!

I guess I'll try to make them in my food processor and if that doesn't work then I'll go for the more expensive type blender. Thanks!

It's funny - just like everything....opinions differ.

My food processor sits unused in the cupboard. I have had several bullets and love them. I bought a nutrition- bullet, hated it and gave it away.

I have both and found that the magic bullet is ok for shakes , but I was making shakes with spinach etc in the nutri bullet and  it pulverizes the spinach . you wouldn't know you are drinking it except for the color. It works great for nuts in a shake as well. So I guess it depends if you just want to mix a protein shake up the magic bullet would suffice.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life and I am not going to waste it !!!  Tracy

Yeah see I want to start adding veggies to my shakes and I don't think the magic bullet will pulverize spinach. It barely wants to chop up my frozen strawberries.

I have the bullet because everyone raved about it and I just HAD to have it before surgery. Waste of money in my opinion. I have a regular blender that does the same thing if not better. I only use the magic bullet to make banana icecream (blend up frozen bananas- DELISH) and only use that because its smaller then the regular blender.

Other wise it doesnt do all the things or even part of the things the infomerical says it does. I don't use it for shakes because it puts too much air into the shake and that makes me very uncomfortable so I just use a blender bottle.

Thanks everyone! Part of me wants to go on a pre-op spending spree since I know I'll be too tired to do it post op but I will try to use my old food processer and my blender and if I really really need something stronger I'll order it from ebay.

OT but I did just order a sample pack of Syntrax Nector mixes and can't wait to try them. I bought muscle milk and nearly spewed it across the room it was nasty with a wicked gross aftertaste that lasted the entire night. If anyone wants three bottles of a four pack let me know and they are all yours baby!!! Blech!!!!  I love my smoothies but have never added protein to them so this will be a whole new adventure.
