1 month post-op - still stalled (2 weeks)?
This is crazy. I am one month post-op (revision from band). I have been stalled for 2 weeks now. I know stalls are normal. But, this long? I am so worried this didn't work for me. I am keeping my calories to right around 700. My protein has been min. 60g. The last couple of days I got to 80g. I am drinking about 64oz. water a day and my carbs have been under 50. So, what gives? I just want to know that this surgery worked. The last couple of years with my band has been a huge struggle to keep my weight off. I was working out 4 and 5 days a week and keeping calories between 1300 and 1500 a day and was not losing anything (not gaining either but, not losing). This is why I am so worried now. Any insight or encouragement would be great!

I will say that I workout 6 days a week, combination of cardio and weight training and usually burning 500 to 600 calories at a time (according to my heart rate monitor) and I have to keep my calories at 1000 to 1200 to maintain my weight. I have a pretty low BMR so that's what I have to do = small price to pay for the health I now have.
I'm 1 month and 4 days post op and I had a stall that lasted around 2 weeks(it JUST broke Saturday). You will have stalls. Are you working out? But if you're doing the same routine over and over and you don't see results, you have to change your routine. In working out and eating, you can't become too predictable to your body. The best advice I received was to keep going. It will come off.
I can relate to your frustration. Today I broke my stall that also lasted two weeks. Sometimes I think I'm going to be the one person who cannot lose weight after WLS! sigh. But then I look at my tiny meals with 2.5 ounces of meat and a tablespoon of veggies, and I know I have to be losing weight, even if it doesn't show on the scale.
Looking at the big picture, I've been consistently losing 15 pounds a month. Except for the very beginning, it has always had stalls and then dropping a few pounds and then stalls.
So hang in there. If you are eating right, keeping carbs low and getting some exercise, you have to be losing even when it doesn't show on the scale.
Best wishes,
Carol

I know nothing about revision from band to sleeve, just sending encouragement and commiseration as I have been stalled since April 4th basically... minus a brief week when I dropped a couple of pounds. Then back to the stall. Can't break the 140s for some reason. I am at about the same nutritional values as you in terms of calories, protein, carbs. Hang in there. Not much else we can do!
I am sending you some magical stall busting vives your way! It sounds like your numbers are in check so you will be busting that stall soon! Now that I have added the magic stall busting dust - the stall has no chance!
Have you taken measurements - I bet while your weight hasn't changed, your measurements have! It's another great tool to "see" your progress!
If the stall gets in your head too much, forget waiting and take your measurements! It will give you the mental boost you need (trust me)! You can always do your "official" measurements on the month and just a mental health one early to get you through a stall.
But don worry - the magic dust never fails - here is a little extra to double bust that stall!
