Two weeks post op. Loving my sleeve!!!!
Yesterday I had my two week post op visit. They brought it to my attention that in the Month of june so far i have lost 26 lbs total. I am very proud of my self, because of certain reasons i haven't been walking much at all (dr approved). I can't wait to be able to walk daily and see the difference in the weight loss. I remember the anxiety i had pre-op. I am doing everything the surgeons office is asking of me. I was told i could start to do some strength training. That is my favorite exercise. Walking is okay but due to a medical issue i can't walk as much as i'd like. I KNOW different people have different results. But i had a goal froomg i m May 31st to August 27th i would lose between 75lbs-100lbs is that realistic? I will be happy with whatever the outcome. But I had also lost 67 lbs since the 28th of November. So that is why i feel like i can achieve those results over my summer break off of work.(work for the school system) is it true that if you put lemon juice in water then it can help burn fat? or will it cause ulcers? I am focusing on my fluids (water, and protein shakes) first. I know now my incisions are finally healing normally i can start doing my wii fitness as well.
Hi,
Congratulations on your weight loss. You are doing great.
I think your goal of losing 75 to 100 pounds in 3 month is ambitious. That's 25 to 33 pounds per month. 15 pounds a month is about 1/2 pound a day. That means you need to under-eat your calorie requirements by 1,700 calories per day. If your metabolism is strong, or you are doing a lot of exercise, you might reach this.
I've been losing about 15 to 18 pounds per month. I do wi**** was faster. I'm having lots of opportunities to practice patience! ;.)
Again, you are doing great. I wish you the best at reaching our goals.

I'm not sure about the lemon water. It's a great detoxifier for the system but I don't have enough medical knowledge to know if it could possibly cause an ulcer. Maybe some of the other people on here with more experience can speak to that.
As for the 75-100 lbs. in 3 months, if you stick to the 600-800 calories, 80g protein, under 40g (maybe even under 30g) of carbs, plus exercise - I think you could come close to the 75 lb. mark. You'll have to be diligent about tracking every mouthful of food. I'm excited to see how you'll do - keep us posted!

Hi NC sister! You are doing awesome! I've had a set back and am dehydrated, haven't kept anything down in the last 24 hours so I've increased IV fluids to 2 liters per day and started Zofran. I can't wait to get to where you are! I am also a teacher so thank goodness I don't have to worry about going back to work soon.
Keep me posted! Also, have you found others in NC? I would like to set up a "clothing swap."
Thank you so much Carol and Tracy! As for my NC sister...lol i guess we got more in common than we thought like the same employer...hahahaha. I go back in August too! I can't wait either. Keep your head up because i know i have been trying different kind of purees and its not going well for me :( I only got sick once since surgery drinking too fast. Now with the purees like peaches and stuff like that yuck. I used to love it, now blah!!!
