How many nights were you in the hospital?
I know. I was nervous about that too since the majority of people stay for at least 1 night. My surgeon has been practicing since 1985 and have had great results so I figured I was in good hands. My husband was with me and made sure that I got up every hour and walked and that I sipped sipped and sipped some more. No complications here.
I stayed only one night. They were watching the quantity of water I was drinking, and when they were convinced I could hold the water down, and had a reasonable chance of not getting dehydrated, they set me free!
I was lucky - little surgery pain, no gas pain, nausea meds worked like a charm.
I hope your surgery is equally uneventful!
