KWIK -- well sorta kwik LOL -- UPDATE!
Buon Giorno Again Oh Family!
I got some really good news last week......the cancer has not spread at this point.
More good news.........my Radiologist and I compromised -- I get to go on my birthday trip, but for only one week instead of two. My actual birthday is the 28th, so I will be home then, but I will celebrate the day while I'm gone with some friends who are meeting me out there.
He said, in an ideal world, I would start treatments next week, but he thinks I'm emotionally too fragile right now and thinks that this trip should stand me in good stead when treatments start. I guess I'm not as "together" as I think I am. He mentioned that often people will grasp that they have cancer intellectually, but don't truly "get it" for a ways out..............then the reality hits and sometimes people go a little bezonkers. I intend to stay sane.........well, at least sane as I ever get LOL
For all the love and prayers and hugs and good thoughts.........I give you my gratitude. You may never know just how important you are to me. MILLE GRAZIE!!!
Plans: July 18, CT scan to make sure all is where it should be; July 19, I leave for Las Vegas; July 27, return home; July 28, I turn 66; July 29, I get "tattooed" (little blue dots -- why can't they be PINK??? -- so I'm placed properly on the table each treatment for the machine to zap the nasty cells causing me this PITA and should also have my first treatment that same day. OH BOY -- OH JOY!
As a reminder: Life can be good even when the poop hits the fan!!!

Elina.........thank you so much. I've been blessed immeasurably. This is a difficult cancer to treat due to logistics (proximity of the esophagus to aorta, lungs, liver, etc.) but it is highly curable. I will not accept less! Talk about goal driven LOL
Gonna paint the town HOT PINK at the end of the month! Come visit! If not this time, maybe the next???
