Didn't think I could do it, but I did!!

My weight loss has been slow, but steady. I am 11 weeks post op and was able to lose weight over the 4th of July week!! I was so afraid that I'd gain because of all the events, BBQ's, Fish Fry, etc. but I was able to contain myself and ate wisely. When I weighed in today I was jumping for joy to find out I had lost 3.4 lbs! I had hit a slight stall for about 3 weeks. My highest weight was 250 lbs, the day of surgery I was 216.8 lbs and today I'm 187 lbs. I'm 38 yrs old and my height is 5'3".

Below is a chart of how I've been losing. I was worried because I'd see other people losing so much more weight than me in a month, but I continued with my plan and realized everyone is different. Everyone on here has been extremely helpful in my journey to lose this weight and I am excited to post my 3 months post op picture soon. IT'S GREAT TO BE IN ONDERLAND! :)

Ooh it wasn't easy....sooo many yummy foods everywhere, but kept my water with me at all times so that if something looked tempting I'd drink, drink, drink and would feel semi full. I kept busy running and playing with my little ones too, which also helped. My husband caught fish in San Felipe (Mexico) so we had a big fish fry but had my fish grilled instead and added some veggies on the side. :)

THANKS FOR POSTING. I TO HAVE BEEN SLOW BUT STEADY. I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE. MY SURGERY WAS MAY 8TH AND IM FINALLY DOWN 30 MORE POUNDS. I GUESS WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT MODES.

So awesome! Something I hope to always remember is this... a loss is still a loss! And even a stall isn't a gain! Just keep rocking it and you will get there before you know it!

Exactly! Even though it's a slow loss it's better than no loss so I'm okay with that. I haven't taken a body picture since I had the surgery so it will be interesting to see the difference once I put the before and after side by side.

Plus, inches are more important. When I worked at LA Weight Loss we had a girl who didn't lose a single pound but she dropped 3 pant sizes and lost inches all over (alot too!). It was the weirdest thing! She was soo frustrated because she wanted the weight to go down... and we couldnt explain why it wasn't... but she WAS losing. It was so weird. So yes, check the side by side body photos and see the difference, it could be more than you think!

Way to go!!  You're a bit ahead of me but I'm so looking forward to getting into the 180's.  Thanks for the reminder that slow and steady WINS the race :-)
