Anyone have a recipe for high protein balls?
This recipe shows it's 11g of protein per meatball:

I make some that my whole extended family loves, but they aren't as calorie/cost effective as a shake. (But more convenient to toss into my purse on my way out the door!)
Peanut butter protein balls are a great way to use up whey powders that don't make shakes you like but want to use up) Bland ones can be greatly improved by adding some cocoa and/or instant coffee. Do NOT add anything water based - they'll go all gloppy and weird.
I find the easiest way to measure ingredients is with my digital kitchen scale - hope you have one. (If you don't - go buy one!)
Basic Peanut Butter Protein Balls
500g peanut butter
285g whey powder (I use Kaizen from Costco)
50g peanut flour
25g cocoa
100g quick oats (replacing this with 100g milk powder adds 1/2g protein per ball)
16 packets sugar twin (Splenda, stevia - whatever floats your boat)
Mix all ingredients well, divide into 20g portions and roll into balls. Can be frozen, refrigerated or kept at room temperature.
Each ball has 100 calories and 9g protein. 2 balls and a couple of strawberries makes a filling lunch for me, although YMMV.
Travel Protein Balls
1 packet Jif peanut butter to go (about 43 grams)
1 scoop whey powder of choice (or single serve packet)
Warm PB in hotel microwave for 10 seconds. Mix with whey powder and shape into 6 balls. Each has about 60 calories and 5-6g protein. Whole batch - 350cal, 30-36g protein.
Enjoy,
Kelly-Anne
