So I start my 2 week pre op today n I'm already hungry. I started yesterday a day early to see how I would do. I can't wait to not wake up every day feeling hungry.

Good luck! I'm not looking forward to that part next month. But you'll make it. I'm hoping to loose a nice amount of weight while on mines haha

I started my pre-op diet yesterday. I didn't do too terrible. I was slightly irritable. I am allowed one "lean and green" meal so I look forward to that.

The first 3-4 days are the toughest.  Once you get past that, the rest is not terrible.  Keep sipping on water in between your shakes and that will keep your hunger at bay.  Remember, sometimes we confuse hunger with thirst.  Also, keep yourself occupied and busy so you don't have time to think about the food you're not eating.  That helped me through 3 weeks of pre-op dieting.

It's SO worth it!  Good luck.

First few days are lousy. Lousy lousy lousy. Then by day 3 or 4 you're like - whatever. I literally went from only thinking about eating (or not eating) the first 2 days to having like 2 Isopures during the course of the day and forgetting that I hadn't eaten.

BTW 4 weeks post op and I do not wake up hungry. It's nice.

Good luck! I started mine today -- sooo hungry! But I think it's in our heads since we know we are restricted on what we can eat. I can't wait to beat the head games (if that ever happens!).
