Hubby is still on mushies and we were trying to think of some new vegies he could puree. Did anyone try squash or zucchini? Wasn't sure about the seeds.

IDK the seeds and the skin may be an issue...
I'd stick to the soft, boring stuff and be safe..
IDK if a seed could lodge in the incision line, and cause issue..

Unless you have deskin and deseed and purée in a vitamix I'd steer clear from this. Also this can be a stringy vegetable. If its not in the book from your surgeon I wouldn't improvise at this stage. Too risky.

I pureed spaghetti squash last night. It pureed amazingly well and it tasted so good too. I obviously cooked it first and removed all the seeds before I cooked it...so there were no seed issues for me. It was a great change of pace, and I loved having some veggies in my diet again. How I've missed them!

That's a great idea! I didn't even think about spaghetti squash. I will have to pick one up for him to try this week. Thanks!
