Absolutely NO!  I am very happy with 72 pound weight loss in 5 months, my body still functions as it did pre-surgery....I just feed it less, and higher quality food.

Nope.i didn't want any part of re-routing my intestines and the risk of malabsorption of vitamins and minerals. Plus, I did not have any co-morbitities that required anything above and beyond the sleeve. And, I like my sugar. Once a week I eat ice cream or frozen yogurt(and pay for it the next morning with what I call MAD syndrome...morning after diarrhea). Yowch.

Not for a minute. I have an intact GI tract and no malabsorption. What's not to like?

The only thing I regret is I must still take insulin. I am 8 months out and down 80 lbs but diabetes has not goy any better. I do take a lot less insulin but was told by endo probably will not get off of it. This was the main reason I had surgery. I think maybe with the RNY that it would have went into remission. But maybe not.

How long have you been on Insulin?  I've been on it three years.  I waiting to get to the surgeon to decide what type of surgery to have.  I already have absorption issues because of a parathyroid that doesn't work.   I've been told if you took insulin for ten years or more you will probably have to take it for the rest of your life.  I pray I will come off it.
