One Year, With Pic
Wow, it is hard to believe it has been a year since my sleeve surgery. I look at that person in the "before" photos, and I don't even know who she is. Her health issues, lack of self esteem, and generally body image dissatisfaction are not my problems any more.
I still have about sixteen pounds until I get to my goal, but all in all I am very happy with my progress. Shopping is fun again, and I love being able to run my 5Ks. I have more energy than ever before, and am off of all medications for blood pressure and blood sugar issues. My sleep apnea is gone, too.
So, here is my before and after at one year out. The new photo was taken on my birthday at a concert, and the tee I'm wearing is one I got the first time I saw the band, back in 2006. It used to be a 3X before I tore it up to make a cute tank top.
My support system here and at MFP has been instrumental in my success. I love you guys!
Here's to continued success for us all!
Congratulations on a job well done. You look great. I am so happy for you.
best wishes,
Carol
