7 Months post op WITH PHOTO...4lbs below goal weight!!!
7 Months post op and life is very good right now =) I hit my goal of 138 at 6 months and 3 days post op...and have now lost an additional 4 pounds trying to learn maintenance the last few weeks. Its pretty tough with my activity level so high, but this week I devised a pretty good nutrition plan for going forward. I actually decided that I could essentially lose down to 125-130 to allow for bounce back room, so its not too huge of a deal for me to still be losing a bit at this point. I feel quite a few emotions when I look at my "before" photo. Its hard to even believe that was me really. My "after" photo is much more representative of the inner athlete that was trapped under the fat for so long, that is one of biggest NSVs. I hit the road running in April and haven't stopped since. I'm currently working on Hal Higdon's 10 Mile Intermediate training plan which I just started after completing his 8K plan last week. I can run 7 miles now with no trouble at all, maintaining a 9:00-9:15 pace. Tonight I kept an 8:30 MP for almost 3 miles...the high I got from that was AWESOME to say the least! I am still thankful every day for my sleeve. Its been a relatively easy journey for me physically, but the emotional and pshycological changes have really been what is most profound for me. My confidence, self worth, and esteem has sky-rocketed. Again, its hard for me even now to think back to the miserable, sad, depressed person I was just 7 short months ago.
I've also lost a total of 48.5 inches overall. I thought i'd share my before and after stats...
Before: size 20 pants, XXL tops, 42DD bra
After: size 6 pants, 5-7 juniors, small tops, 34D bra!
Enjoy the photos! Don't mind the sweatiness in the far right pic (which was taken tonight!) We had just finished a 6 mile run (in Georgia!) in 56:00!!!
LOVE!!!!!!!!!!!! You are so awesome and I love reading your posts. You look like YOU now! Respect and admire your running ability...I keep trying to run, but so far 20 minutes straight is about as much as I can stand before I want to implode! Congratulations and continue to enjoy your wonderful life with your wonderful new body!!
