I would call your doctor and let him know what is going on. I have been taking Nexium for awhile now and it sure has helped.

I got reflux everytime I overate or are too quickly. I've slowed it down and not overeating as much as I had and the reflux is gone. But when I do eat too fast or overeat it pops back up. I hope this helps.

Nausea can be from reflux too. That's how I discovered mine. I was having serious nausea when I took even a single bite of food. My surgeon gave me a barium test and watched my stomach while in reflux. If you're on a PPI, you may need to up the dose or try a different one.

I found that 7 weeks was a turning point for me.  The swelling went down, the queasiness passed, and I could eat more than 1.5 ounces at a meal.  I didn't have reflux so you may be dealing with something entirely different, so I think calling your doctor is a good idea.  I hope your symptoms pass soon.

I'm glad to hear you've lost 36 pounds already.  That's awesome.

best of luck,

Carol

I will have it for the rest of my life!  On on MAX doses of PPIs....this is the worst thing about the Sleeve for me now.

What are PPIs, I am new to the site trying to choose between RNY and the Sleeve.  It seems that one negative of the Sleeve is the possibility of chronic heartburn. Am I on the right track.
