So I tried an Easy Ride Spinning Class tonight!  For whatever reason, I was SO intimidated to try Spinning.  My husband and I have been riding our bikes a decent amount this summer....10-16 miles round trip many times.  But spinning...serious bike people spin!  The come out super sweaty with smug looks on their faces (or at least that was my impression).

I did it!!  And it was fun!  It's an Easy Ride class, so she was telling the class to move up and down from 5-7 resistance...I had a hard time figuring out my own resistance levels, but realized about 1/2 way through that I could definitely bump it up much higher & I did.  I kept up each time she changed from 1st, 2nd, 3rd position, I caught on pretty quickly to a good form, too.

Freakin' yea!  That felt good!!!

I was addicted to Spinning and had an actual bike in my home and did it so much I injured my foot.  I over trained. It's actually a very safe workout. I haven't been right since and sold my bike because it hurt to look at it. Two surgeries later I still can't do it. I envy anyone who can spin now. Glad you love it. After you get used to the seat you're good to go.

Oh, no!  So sorry to hear about your injury!  I was pretty good with the seat, probably because of riding my regular bike so much recently.  I definitely had to think about my form though....it's harder than it seems!

Hope you find something else you love as much as spinning!

I love the elliptical and that caused foot pain as well (because of the spinning) and sold that as well (a $4000 machine). All of this prompted me pursuing surgery. I want to go back to both of them. I regret selling it because I think I could get back to it.

I got back into working out by doing aqua classes at my gym...much less stress on my joints, etc.  I still love Aqua Zumba (it's so much fun!)...even though I do "land" classes/machines again, too.

Congrats on taking a spin class!

Those bikes terrify me. My trainer made me do 10 minutes on one last week and I about died.
